Dr. Nicholas Baughman grew up in Greenville, South Carolina. He graduated from Clemson University in December of 2011 with a BS degree in Biological Science. He then received his Doctorate of Optometry degree while attending the University of Alabama of Birmingham School of Optometry. Dr. Baughman did an externship at the Eye Foundation of Utah and with an Ophthalmologist in London, KY where he focused on Glaucoma and Dry Eye Disease.
Dr. Baughman joined the Family Vision team in the summer of 2016. He served as the President of the Piedmont Optometric Society in 2018-2019. He enjoys going on medical mission trips, his most recent trip was to Costa Rica.
Outside of eye care, Dr. Baughman loves spending time with his wife, Kathryn and their three sons, Luke, Andrew and Parker, and one Brittany Spaniel named "Chipper". He likes to stay active playing sports like tennis, golf and softball. He is an avid baseball fan, pulling for his Atlanta Braves. During the fall, you will most likely find him cheering on his Clemson Tigers!
