Dr. Jarrod Griffis was born and raised in Southeast Georgia where he attended Georgia Southern University, earning his BS degree in chemistry, while minoring in music technology. Immediately after, he began Optometry school in Memphis, Tennessee at Southern College of Optometry, where he would earn his Doctorate of Optometry in May of 2017. He completed his externships at Georgia Eye Partners Opthalmology Group in Atlanta, Georgia and Professional Eye Care, a private practice in Statesboro, GA.
Dr. Griffis has traveled to Central American countries such as Haiti and Nicaragua to provide Optometric aid while sharing the Gospel. Dr. Griffis loves spending time with his wife, Dr. Megan Griffis, who is a pediatric resident in Greenville, South Carolina. They became new parents to a baby girl in March of 2020. In his spare time, you can find Dr. Griffis remodeling their house, refurbishing older electronics, napping with their cats at home, or playing drum set at his local church.
